MOA Stakeholders Meeting
Next Friday, February 24th RCRC and CSAC are hosting a meeting to discuss the proposed draft Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between RCRC, CSAC and the U.S. Forest Service, Pacific Southwest Region and the California U.S. Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management.
The following federal representatives will be joining us from Washington, DC to discuss the federal perspective on the MOA, as well as to answer questions from county stakeholders on any aspect of the MOA.
· Cynthia Moses-Nedd, U.S. Department of Interior Liaison to State and Local Government
· Randy Phillips, US Forest Service Liaison to the National Association of Counties
· Horst Greczmiel, Associate Director of NEPA Oversight, White House Council for Environmental Quality
This meeting is a unique chance for county representatives to have their questions answered regarding the MOA and what it means for county relations with these federal land management agencies. Please note that it will be the only forum of its kind before the MOA is presented to the RCRC Board of Directors for adoption. RCRC strongly encourages all concerned counties to take advantage this opportunity to participate in the discussion.
Again, the meeting will take place on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at RCRC’s Offices which are located at 1215 K. St., Suite 1650, Sacramento, CA 95814. Here is the most recent of the MOA and final meeting agenda: MOA Agenda
