- May Revision of Governor’s Proposed Budget Released
Governor Jerry Brown unveiled his May Revision of the 2013-14 state Budget on Tuesday. While the budget outlook has strengthened from where it was two years ago, the Governor announced that revenues were not as strong as initially predicted and outlined a number of additional risks that could negatively affect California’s fiscal recovery including the uncertain pace of economic growth, rising health care costs, numerous pending federal court decisions, and lower forecasts for sales tax receipts in the coming fiscal year.
