Public Lands Telecommunications Act Re-Introduced

On Tuesday, March 8^th, RCRC Congressional Delegation Representative Jared Huffman (D-North Coast) re-introduced the Public Lands Telecommunications Act which would, “unlock new opportunities for responsible broadband infrastructure deployment on and near federal public lands.” RCRC Chair, Nevada County Supervisor Dan Miller, was quoted in Representative Huffman’s press release, stating that this legislation “would allow for a much-needed expansion of broadband and telecommunications infrastructure on and near public lands, helping to further reduce the digital divide in California’s rural counties.”
