Golden State Connect Authority Recognizes Barbara Hayes
At last week’s Board Meeting, Golden State Connect Authority’s Chair Chris Lopez and Vice Chair David Griffith, formally recognized Barbara Hayes, RCRC’s Chief Economic Development Officer, for her exemplary leadership and dedication to advancing rural broadband connectivity and economic development.
Barbara, who recently concluded her tenure, (or as Barbara put it, “I’m not retiring, I’m just not working full time”) as RCRC Chief Economic Development Officer, has played a pivotal role in advancing GSCA’s strategic broadband initiatives. Her contributions include securing state broadband funding, developing open-access network planning frameworks, and facilitating the successful closing of GSCA’s bond sale. This recognition underscores the significant impact of collaborative leadership in addressing the digital divide affecting rural communities and businesses.
GSCA remains committed to building upon this momentum throughout 2026 and beyond.
