RCRC’s Annual Rural County Photo Contest invites individuals to share captivating images that showcase the incredible diversity, breathtaking scenery, vibrant communities, rich history, and enduring character that make RCRC’s member counties truly special.

Now celebrating its 10th year, the contest encourages photographs that capture the unique spirit of rural California—whether through serene waterways, fascinating wildlife, majestic livestock, or distinctive architecture.

In recognition of this milestone anniversary, RCRC is proud to continue a decade-long tradition of highlighting the beauty and distinctiveness of California’s rural counties through photography. Beginning July 1, 2026, photographers from across the state are invited to submit their best images for consideration in the 10th Annual Rural County Photo Contest.
