The EV Expert Pledge is an initiative of the California New Motor Vehicle Board. This pledge for California new car dealerships contributes directly to the advancement of the California State Transportation Agency’s (CalSTA) Core Four priorities of Safety, Equity, Climate Action and Economic Prosperity.
Launched in May 2025, it supports the ZEV transition in California by encouraging the use of industry best practices in EV motor vehicle sales activities.
The goal is to have EV Expert Pledge signatories across all regions of California and they are currently in need of signatories in regions that include many northern California counties.
