Governor Newsom Announces $145.4 Million in HHAP Funding to Help Eight California Regions Reduce Homelessness

On Wednesday, April 8, Governor Newsom announced additional grants to local partners from the Homeless Housing, Assistance, and Prevention (HHAP) Program, which is intended to get people experiencing homelessness off the street and into supportive services and interim and permanent housing.

Among the communities receiving funding in this round of grants are several RCRC member counties. Lake County is receiving $1.4 million; Solano County is receiving $4.1 million; Yolo County is receiving $2.2 million; and Yuba County is receiving $600,000.

With this announcement, 31 of 42 regional applications submitted for HHAP Round 6 have been granted, totaling $724.3 million distributed across the state.
