Napa County Supervisor Anne Cottrell to Help Lead RCRC in 2026

In December 2025, Napa County Supervisor Anne Cottrell was elected by her fellow supervisors to serve as Second Vice Chair of the Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC). Supervisor Cottrell was officially sworn in on January 21st during the RCRC Board of Directors meeting, marking the establishment of the 2026 RCRC Officers. The Oath of Office was administered by Assembly Member David Tangipa.

Modoc County Supervisor Geri Byrne Continues in Leadership Role at RCRC in 2026

SACRAMENTO, CA – On Wednesday, January 21st, Modoc County Supervisor Geri Byrne was sworn in as Immediate Past Chair of the Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC), continuing her leadership role within the organization. Assembly Member David Tangipa administered the Oath of Office during the installation of RCRC’s 2025 Officers.

RCRC Installs 2026 Officers and Recognizes Rural Leadership Award Recipients

On Wednesday, January 21st, the Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC) installed its 2026 Officers and presented its Rural Leadership Awards.

During a meeting of the Board of Directors, Assembly Member David Tangipa administered the official Oath of Office for the 2026 RCRC Officers. Mariposa County Supervisor Miles Menetrey was installed as Chair, Santa Barbara County Supervisor Bob Nelson as First Vice Chair, Napa County Supervisor Anne Cottrell as Second Vice Chair, and Modoc County Supervisor Geri Byrne as Immediate Past Chair. The newly installed 2026 Officers will lead the organization in championing policies on behalf of California’s rural counties.
