The California Department of Housing and Community Development announced the award of $195 million in funding Round 2 of the No Place Like Home (NPLH) program. Awards for sixteen supportive housing projects were given to thirteen different RCRC member counties, totally nearly $70 million in funding to those communities. The NPLH program was created in 2016 and provides up to $2 billion for the development of permanent supportive rental housing for people living with a serious mental illness who are Homeless, Chronically Homeless, or At-Risk of Chronic Homelessness. Small counties were set aside eight percent of the competitive funding allocations for projects in rural communities. More information on the NPLH program can be found here.
