Sara Bratsch, of Tulare County, has been appointed to serve as a Judge in the Tulare County Superior Court. Bratsch has been a Sole Practitioner since 2010. She was an Associate at Houk and Hornburg LLP from 2008 to 2010 and served as a Conflict Attorney at the Tulare County Conflict Defender's Office from 2008 to 2009. Bratsch served both as a Deputy District Attorney and a Supervising Deputy District Attorney at the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office from 1997 to 2007. Catherine Hohenwarter, of Yolo County, has been appointed to serve as a Judge in the Yolo County Superior Court. Hohenwarter has served as a Commissioner at the Yolo County Superior Court since 2020 and has held several positions there since 2007, including Judge Pro Tem, Family Law Facilitator, Family Court Services Manager, Self-Help Attorney and Legal Research Attorney. She was a Sole Practitioner from 1999 to 2007 and an Associate at the Law Office of Robert P. Kahn from 1994 to 1998. Hohenwarter was an Associate at Lossing & Elston from 1990 to 1994. She earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Idaho College of Law. Hohenwarter fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge David W. Reed. She is registered without party preference. The compensation for this position is $231,174.

Jason Johnson, of Napa, has been appointed to the Milton Marks “Little Hoover” Commission on California State Government Organization and Economy. Johnson was Managing Partner at Founders Den from 2011 to 2022. He was Founder and Chief Executive Officer at August Home Inc. from 2012 to 2021. Johnson was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Dolby Laboratories Inc. from 2004 to 2010. He was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Global IP Solutions from 2001 to 2002. Johnson was Channel Marketing Manager at Tut Systems from 1996 to 1997. He was Distribution Channel Manager at Apple Computer Inc. from 1993 to 1996. Johnson is a member of the Land Trust of Napa County Board of Trustees and Founders Pledge. He is treasurer on the Blue Oak School Board of Trustees. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University. Kristi Pawlowski, of Mather, has been appointed to the Veterinary Medical Board. Pawlowski has been Chief Insight Director for the Insight Veterinary Wellness Center since 2020. She has been Executive Director at the Sacramento Valley Veterinary Medical Association since 1991. She was Owner and Hospital Manager of Banfield Pet Hospital of Lincoln from 2007 to 2016 and of Banfield Pet Hospital of Folsom from 2002 to 2016. Pawlowski earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources and Organizational Behavior from California State University, Sacramento. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Pawlowski is a Democrat.
