Rural County Representatives of California Opposes AT&T Petition that Threatens Universal Telephone Service ProtectionsThe Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC), in coordination with a broad coalition of consumer, local government, labor, agricultural, and public interest organizations, has filed comments with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) opposing AT&T’s Petition for Preemption and Declaratory Ruling, which seeks to prevent California’s Carrier of Last Resort (COLR) requirements from applying to AT&T’s planned discontinuance of Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS).

RCRC Selected for State Innovation Grant to Strengthen Rural Behavioral Health SystemsThe California Behavioral Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission has announced its intent to provide a grant award to the Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC) through its Innovation Partnership Fund to establish the Rural Behavioral Health Action Collaborative (RBHAC), a county-led initiative designed to strengthen behavioral health implementation capacity across rural Northern California.
